The Healey Building

Mixed Use

Atlanta, Georgia

This challenging project required the reconfiguring of a 16-story historic building from purely commercial use to a mix of residential and restaurant/retail/commercial space.

Once christened the “Jewel of Forsyth,” the Healey Building was built in 1914 in the Gothic Revival style. It features a dome-shaped rotunda, twin marble staircases and a dramatic glass roof added in the 1980’s to span the mezzanine level and showcase Atlanta’s skyline. The building has been transitioned from purely commercial use to a mix of residential condos on the top 14 floors and restaurant/retail/loft office space beneath. This creative reinvention of an historical property successfully celebrates the best of downtown Atlanta’s past and present.
